Oversee and prioritize IM's projects, managing decision-making, timelines, resources, and progress assessment, making course adjustments when necessary.

Relevant Experience

  • Developed project portfolio program for BCI and WSIB Finance divisions to prioritize, report and oversee 10+ concurrent projects and measure against defined outcomes (budget, benefits).

  • Developed and responsible for implementing several business plans at BCI and WSIB including Finance division (90 FTE/$15M annual spend) and large technology projects (SimCorp and Guidewire) (both representing 100 FTE/$75M three year spend) as well as responsible for developing annual capital and operating budgets.

Initial Approach

  • Meet with IM staff to ensure I had a comprehensive list of IM projects (what, why, who, when, status, health). Develop “Baseball Cards” (plan on a page) to ensure IM leadership is aware of required resources (people, funding and consultants) to validated and prioritize projects.
